SafeHouse Ministries “Then the righteous will answer him,
‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and
feed you, or thirsty and give you
something to drink? When did we see
you a stranger and invite you in, or
needing clothes and clothe you? When did
we see you sick, or in prison and go to
visit you?" The King will reply,"I tell you
the truth, whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers of mine,
you did for me."

We have 4 openings to fill in our Fatherhood program.  The classes are in the mornings, usually 10 to 11, once every 7 weeks.  We need 4 men that would give 8 classes in 2018 in the jail.

Since this program started over 4 years ago we have trained over 400 men.  They return to jail at less than half of the general population inmates.  This is making Columbus a better place to live as it changes families in our town for the better.

Please consider joining this team and helping teach young men that “last night” doesn’t make you a father.  It’s a lifelong commitment to be a role model for a child and partner with the mother.

December 5, 2017

We will begin to experience cold, winter weather later this week and that means we need your  HELP.

We need coats and jackets, stocking caps and gloves for men and women.  We have almost no men’s long pants or long sleeve shirts either. We are very low on shoes for men and women.

Please consider sharing winter clothing with us.  We are stocking the clothing closet at the SafeHouse and need to be able to meet the needs of the jail and our shelters.

If you can share any of these needs.  THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Prayer requests around the ministry revolve around the holidays.  These are tough times to be in need.

“I hate being alone during the holidays.  My family doesn’t trust me because of my drug problem.  Please pray that God sets me free from addiction and puts my family back together.”

“The commercials say Tis the Season to be jolly, but it’s not true.  I am depressed and alone again this year.”

“I need a job so I can save enough money to get my own place.”

“If I can stay off drugs I can get my kids back.  That would be the best Christmas present ever.”

Thank you for your prayers and support.
