Grace House
Grace House is SafeHouse Ministries' 54 bed facility for women and children who are transitioning back into the community. Over 750 women and over 130 children have stayed in Grace House since opening in November of 2011. Last year, over 70% of the women successfully moved into permanent housing!
Our goal is to work with clients to find employment and financial stability to sustain permanent housing. Residence's experience includes meals, devotions, and job programs for those unemployed. Grace House is an inclusive facility and embraces relationship as a key means of finding renewal and restoration!

History of the Grace House
When we first opened the SafeHouse, we could meet just about every need except for temporary housing for women and children. We prayed about this and joined with Trinity Episcopal Church of Columbus to open Trinity House, a 24-bed facility for disadvantaged women and children. By God’s grace, Fort Benning provided all the furniture SafeHouse would need in advance and McCarley Moving and Storage boxed it and stored it until we were ready to open. God opened the doors for donations of beds, sheets, pillows, blankets, dressers, night stands, love seats, end tables, entertainment centers, student desks with chairs, washers, and dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, stoves/ovens - AMAZING. In 2022 when God blessed SafeHouse Ministries with an additional 104 bed facility for the men, we were able to move the women into our 52 bed shelter known as Grace House and transition Trinity House into apartments for families to keep families together and off the street. Over 750 women and 130 children have stayed at Grace House with over 60% leaving to permanent housing.
